Advantage Dogs

Can I double the dosage of advantage for larger dogs?
My friend gave me her small dogs advantage for fleas. It is for dogs 10lbs and under. My dog is 20lbs. Can I just use two tubes instead of the one for my dog since its double the size?
No- the active ingredient is at a certain strength. Doubling the amount applied will not give the same results as using the proper application.

It’s important that you provide your cavy with proper housing like a cage. This will prompt him to be more active and healthier. There are a few things you need to consider when buying Guinea Pig Cages. Some of these things include size, floor, and design. This article will give you a few tips for buying a cage for a guinea pig.
Size
Size is one of the most important considerations. Cavies need a lot of space to run around. If you want him to be more active, then you should buy the largest cage possible. At the very least, the one you choose should be 18 inches wide and 14 inches high. Some pigs like to jump, so relatively tall walls will prevent them from escaping.

Natural Healthy Treat

A nutritious diet is essential for a healthy living! Yes, it is absolutely correct that a diet which provides all the requirements such as vitamins, minerals, proteins, to the body not only ensures physical fitness, but mental fitness too. This case is not only with humans, but animals too, as they require proper food for a healthy living. Is your dog eating the right food? You can decide which kind of food should be served to your doggy, since he is entirely dependent upon you, so be careful and provide food that proves to be best for your pooch. In order to boost your dog’s health profoundly, you can include natural dog treats in your dog’s diet which are not only delicious, but nourishing too. Enjoy the pleasure expressed by your sweet pup when offered natural dog treats!
While selecting natural dog treats for your pet dog, you need to consider many aspects like the activity level of your pooch, purpose of treats, medical condition of your pet, food allergies, size of the dog and above all, your budget. Dog treats would mostly be suitable for extremely active dogs that need high protein and fat whereas dog treats lower in protein, fat and overall calories can be served to dogs that are sedentary. If your pet dog is allergic to any ingredient then be careful and read the labels before choosing dog treats, since different treats will include different ingredients. It is wise to contact your vet if you further have any doubt on this.
Depending upon your pet’s requirement and your reason to give your dog treats, you can choose from a wide variety of natural dog treats, however treats can also be given for no reason at all. You may feel that your doggy deserves all the natural dog treats, but make sure that the treats selected, are the best products for your pet. If required you can consult your veterinarian and know exactly, what kind of treats and how frequently natural dog treats can be given to your dog. Dog treats like chewy treats can also help dogs to improve their teeth and gums and those without any preservatives or chemicals, like natural dog treats prove to be the best option where your dog’s health is concerned. Good quality and an adequate quantity of food shall keep your pet dog’s weight at a controlled level and will also enable him to be active. You will be taking care of your doggie’s daily diet which needs to be balanced, but along with it you can serve your doggy natural dog treats and make him happy as well as healthy, which in turn shall make you happy too. Dog treats are safe and nutritious if given to pet dogs in proper quantity and as per their requirement, so give yummy and nutritious food to your pooch because a healthy pet is a happy pet! Let your pet enjoy the best healthy treats!

Flour Pantry

Can pantry/flour moths invade clothing items, lay eggs, and hatch or are they limited to food items?
I had pantry/flour moths in my kitchen cupboard and used the pheromone traps to trap the males but I seem to have some of the moths in my bedroom flying around and cannot catch them with my traps (which only attact male moths) so I am assuming they must be females and I am afraid they might be laying eggs in my bedroom and get in my clothes but I don’t know if they will get in clothing items or only food items. Does anyone know? Help!!
Yes, they may have started in the kitchen, but they actually hatched in my curtains. The curtains were a lacy nubby weave and tiny pieces of them were on the window sill, kind of like dandruff, the webs and hatching’s were in folds of the curtains.

Mouse Mice

Mouse? Mice?
I recently discovered I had a mouse getting into my cereal. I put a trap in my cupboard and caught a mouse in less than 12 hours. How do I know if there are more? Should I leave the trap out?
Yes, leave the trap out. You may also want to put a few more out in other areas. I would also put all of my snacks and cereals in plastic containers to keep them “mice free”. There is nothing worse than feeling uncomfortable eating in your home because you think a mouse might have dined before you. Good Luck!

Rabbit Rat

Can we keep a rat and a rabbit in the same hutch?
We have a rat in a cage and have just got a rabbit that will stay in its own hutch. Can we put the rat and rabbit together in the hutch without any problems?
Rats are predators. No. The will harm each other. And please get another rat for your rat to have a friend. They are extremely social creatures and need constant same species companionship. They get very lonely and might get depressed or even aggressive without one. For the happiness of your pet, please get it a friend.

Cage Set

What are people opinions on the best cage set up to use when my beardie gets older?
He is currently in a smaller tank, he is only 5 inches now. I know I will need to upgrade real soon. Im starting to look for a tank to get now. What are some ideas? I want the best environment for him! I even thought of a home made cage. My dad made me one for my big iguanna, but he doesnt have the ability to make another one. Please include any web sites that may have cages for sale also, Thank you-
Hayley
Think floor space. They do climb, but usually only a few inches off the ground. They are happy ground dwellers.
Three feet square is a good size for an adult dragon. Put the heat lamp and UV lights at one corner so that there is a super warm spot, and a super cool spot on opposite ends of the enclosure. That way he can pick a place and be comfy.
Cheers

Rats typically become accustomed to repeated handling. In a naive animal the temperament of the animal can be determined by placing the hand into the cage to allow exploration by the animal prior to touching. Rats frequently live beneath a doghouse and soon learn they can feed on the dog’s food when he is absent or asleep.
Many rat problems around homes can be related to the keeping of pets, on the other hand, some cats and dog breeds will reduce existing rat problems. Rats that are regularly lifted by their tails tend to harbor a distrust of humans, and may not make the best pets.
Rats like to hoard their belongings. While you need to spend money on new endeavors, avoid unnecessary expenditures when possible. Rat Terriers are small, compact, muscular and somewhat brawny (displaying their sturdiness and strength).

Harness Leash
Is leaving a cat outdoors on a harness and leash viable?
We’ve got a year-old male cat, and we’ve been experiencing a lot of trouble with him peeing all over our house. He doesn’t use his litter box, no matter what kind of litter we use (we prefer the wood-chip kind). If my fiance had it his way, he would just throw the cat outside and leave him to his devices, but I am not okay with that, so we were thinking that maybe using a harness and leash might work. Is this a good idea, and if not, for what reasons?
I dont know it sounds ok but the leash has to be short enough where he cant climb something and then accidently hang himself but long enough for him to explore…it might drive him crazy..
