Advantage Dogs
Biting fleas is a great source of nuisance for your dog, as it causes many disadvantages which relates to the physical and mental health of the pet. It causes flea allergies, secondary skin infections, dermatitis and in many cases anemia which is very common as the fleas are the parasites and they normally grow on the blood of the host/pet.
Therefore, in this connection, the use of the right drug for your pet is highly recommended. The look out factor should be of the brand and the quality of the drug which is in use, as it will speed up the recovery process. Advantage Dog is the simplest of all available drugs and is used with the help of a simple applicator. The drug checks the growth of the eggs and larvae of fleas, thereby checking the infestation period of the flea and its life cycle.
Fleas are generally considered to be something bad that can happen to pets, because fleas can destroy the complete body mechanism of the pet. Afterwards, it takes time to regain the same shape and health state. But the positive side of the story is something different, as the drug, Advantage Dog, not only protects the pet but at the same time checks the further attack of fleas and ticks. Therefore, it ensures complete protection, as the ingredients in the drug are meant to check the further growth of the insect.

Hamsters Rats

Pets are a fonts of enjoyment and fulfillment for most people. Pets like dogs and cats operate as loyal companions to people and are satisfied with tender loving object by their owners. However, there are people who pour out their affection to exotic pets.
Exotic pets are named as such because they aren’t domesticated and tamed and are most regularly found in the lunatic. However, the popularity of exotic animals as pets has encouraged pet supplies to stockpile up on exotic pets to join the rising pressure in the souk.
When a being heard exotic pet, the first thing that comes into his opinion is an animal that is uncommon and maybe brutish. There are wholly harmless exotic pets like hamsters, mice, Guinea Pigs and rabbits. On the other hand, there are also exotic pets that may look heated and wild at first glance.

Starter Kit

What is the best book or starter kit for a beginner with Model Trains?
One of my best friends mentioned years ago that his dad did model trains and had a big model train table before his dad passed away. He mentioned that he wanted to make something similar to it when he gets older, in part because it’s one of the few memories he has of his father. I’ve only recently remembered this conversation and I thought a starter kit or an informative book for beginners might be good for him as a birthday or Christmas present. Does anyone know anything about this hobby that might be able to make some good suggestions?
Great Idea… the books I’d suggest come from Kalambach Publishing (they print Model Railroading Magazine):

According to one plot, the two most usual spaces the children ardor to vacation in a mall are the toy save, and the pet stockroom. This is because the yield in these establishments forever entrap the awareness and fascination of the minors, which typically tops up with the parents departing in and selling something.

Marmoset Monkey
“Look, it’s a monkey!” the father says to his son, pointing at the caged chimpanzee sitting with his back to the onlookers. The information sheet posted on the wall corrects the misnomer, but I doubt the man will read it. Sure enough, the pair strolls forward to look at the next ‘monkey,’ which is really an orangutan.
With more than 350 species of primates in the world, I suppose it is easy to get confused over who is who, and what is what. However, as a primate myself I have to wonder if our cousins are as disgusted as we are when we’re mistakenly called by the wrong name, or assumed-because of a resemblance-to be related to someone we dislike. Highly speculative. But in the tradition of political correctness I will endeavor in this article to present a primate primer. I know that a baboon by any name will never smell very sweet, but something about knowing my gorillas from my gibbons puts everything in its proper place, and helps me feel as if the world has order.
Primates are mammals which share the following combination of traits: their hands and feet have five distinct digits; they have fingernails and an opposing thumb; they possess binocular vision with eyes positioned at the front of their faces; they have a generalized dental pattern; their shoulder joints are unusually flexible due to secure ball joints and strong collarbones; and they have a marked tendency toward erectness, or bipedalism. Other than these basic commonalities, there is great variation within this order, and even scientists sometimes have difficulty classifying primates.

How much does a hamster cost? How much does a gerbil cost?
Maybe do the cost from Pet Supermarket, or other popular pet stores. Please include every basic thing for good hamster or gerbil care, and please include the hamster or gerbil itself!
It depends on where you buy it, what breed, etc….but generally five to eight bucks or so for the hamster or gerbil. Anywhere from 30 bucks to 60 bucks for everything else, depending on how fancy, if you shop around, etc.

Chinchilla Rabbit Rat

What other pets can live in the same cage, or play with, Degu, Rat, Chinchilla, Dwarf Rabbit, or Guinea Pig?
If I do get a pet soon, I would like to let them out to play with each other (altough if they shoulkd have a friend of the same species in the cage, like rats do, and chinchillas, ect, then I would deffinatly get a friend for them)
So what pets would play with (out of their cages) or live with (same cage all the time) any of the following: Degu, Rat, Chinchilla, Dwarf Rabbit, Guinea Pig? Thank-you
Honestly it is best if they don’t all play together or live in the same cages together. They would have had to be in the same cage from when they were really little to mix them. It would be best if you only get the same species in the same cage and if you might make sure you watch all of them playing together outside the cage, but honestly I wouldn’t because they might all fight with each other.

When owning an exotic pet, the first thing you should respect is the enclose. You should find the right supplies when making an enclosure for your exotic pet. You may also find equipped-made cages that have installed housing systems. If you choose exchange a wind as your pet, you should train a crate that can match the range and model of your meander. The volume of the confine may depend on the age of the twist. You should also believe the environmental living conditions of the turn.
You may also ponder with aquarium tanks as your extra coop for snakes that are fewer than six to seven feet in part and are essential to have swim breaks. For desert snakes, you may coach a divider top enclose to give ventilation. Tropical snakes may penury a crate that has a top cause envelope guard to sustain average temperature.
Make surefire that your confine has tumbler-based screens so that you can behold your pet openly. You won’t have a hard time in cleaning schooner aquariums. However, they are violent since they are pure and should be placed on a steel plunk. You may put concrete round castors so that you can move it easily.

How to install mesh floor to metal chinchilla/ferret cage?
We have 2 chinchillas in a large metal framed ferret cage. It currently has plastic flooring, but we want to install mesh flooring with a litter pan for easier cleaning. I have read instructions online, but they all involve stapling the mesh to a wooden frame. Our cage has a metal wire bottom. How could we attatch the mesh to the bottom securely and safely for chinchillas, who are prone to chew through anything. Thanks!
Any mesh flooring can be dangerous to chinchillas, as they can get a foot caught in it. A better option might be a metal pan on the bottom. You may find that cleaning is easier if you use fleece bedding.

Shepherd and Greene ferret food?
How many people have given this food to their ferrets? I am currently changing my ferrets food to this and want to know what others think about it.It is the best I have found in my area after researching all the kinds they sell in all the stores by me.
There is another kind of food, but I can’t remember the name…but they say no problem switching over most ferrets will take it the first day. The big thing is make sure the food is at least 34% protein. Ferrets imprint on food, so it is really hard to get them to take anything they have not had as babies. Like Marshall Farms Ferrets are started on Marshall Ferret Food and it is about impossible to get them started on anything else.

2. How would you hide the sewing sem so their feet don’t get caught?
I found someone around here that was making them for sale..he/she was using a no sew method, and tying them together,as I have seen the kids make big blankets for their beds around here..they’re pretty cool.(BTW,mine definitely has 2 babies…they are out running around now..)

Rabbit Cage

If I was to build a rabbit cage out of wood, is this safe for the rabbit?
I am planning on building a 2-3 story cage for a rabbit. I have heard that some types of wood are not good for a rabbit. Is there any wood that is safe? How can I prevent or discourage a rabbit from chewing the wood?
I’d recommend avoiding building the cage out of treated wood except for the bottom of the hutch legs (where they meet the ground, to prevent them from rotting, you may want to place stepping stones under the legs to keep the hutch from sinking over time). Treated wood contains arsenic which can be unhealthy for your rabbit to eat. Hardwoods are fine and so is regular pine. If you build it out of 2×4′s, and plywood don’t worry, it will take them a long while (years and years) to chew through the wood to the point of escaping. I had my rabbit hutches for over 20 years and they never chewed through. The cage wire will rust out long before they chew through the wood. Some of the main things you want to consider though is will it be easy to get your rabbit in and out of the cage. Will the cage be easy to clean out? Is the hutch in the shade to keep the rabbits cool in the summer? Is it built well enough to keep dogs out? Does your breed require a solid bottom floor (heavy weight breed) or can it utilize a wire bottom floor (light weight breed)? Wire bottom floors are much easier to clean, but if you have a heavy breed it will be hard on their feet and tend to give them sore hocks. Don’t use chicken wire for the cage or any kind of thin wire. I recommend using rabbit cage wire, check out Da-mars or Klubertanz online for rabbit cage wire. Use 1″x2″ wire for the sides and for the flooring if you’re going to use wire us 1/2″x1″ wire with a heavier gauge wire. Galvanized AFTER-WELDED wire is much better. If it’s galvanized before welded, it will rust much quicker. Another thing I recommend is build an extended roof on it. You’ll be thankful you did on those rainy nights when you have to go out in the rain to feed your rabbits. In the summer, your cage should be open (just wire) on two sides (the front and the back). In the winter, you want three sides closed in to prevent a wind draft and pneumonia. That can be done by tacking a piece of plywood, paneling or thick plastic on the back. Last of all, set a post 3-4 feet deep in the ground and brace your hutch against the post. The first couple of years I was raising rabbits we didn’t do that and a couple bad storms came in and blew the hutches over in the middle of the night. It’s no fun chasing your rabbits in the middle of a rainy night or the next day and trying to tip a rabbit hutch back upright. Thankfully we had a tractor to tip them upright.
