You’ve likely heard one of those chaos theory statements such as “If a pigeon lands on a statue in Trafalgar Square, and at the same time a tree falls in Yellowstone Park, then it will rain on Mount Kilimanjaro.” Baffling, isn’t it? Well, such is the nature of chaos theory. But higher prices for fuel at the pump are absolutely causing more and more people to sit at traffic lights that won’t change for them. It’s a very direct cause and effect issue – not at all chaos theory.
Unfortunately, people not being able to trigger traffic lights to cycle to green has the effect of causing more gasoline to be consumed/wasted. This raises the demand for fuel, which as we have seen, causes the prices to go up even further. It’s an unattractive loop, to be sure. And let’s not forget about the many other negative aspects of getting stuck at traffic signals that won’t change such as irritation; excessive engine temperatures and overheating; frustration; additional green house gas emissions; excessive engine wear; carbon build-up, and so on.
Let’s take a look at how high gas prices are affecting traffic signals. When regular unleaded gas hit $3 per gallon, with spikes as high as $4 in places around the USA, people started buying smaller means of transportation. Motorcycles, mopeds, small cars, and small trucks, with their miserly fuel behaviors, became much more desirable, and much more common on the streets and highways. It’s a logical occurrence. If you own a vehicle that gets 15 miles per gallon, and you trade for one that gets just 18 miles per gallon, you stand to save hundreds of dollars a year on gas spending.

Mouse Mice
When mice or mouse enter your house do they stay or do they go out?
I saw a mice/mouse yesterday coming in my living room and going out again about 4 or 5 times, my parents say dont worry they are scared of Humans and will go out of the house as they feel scared in a house, but i dont know what to do, i can set traps but wondering if they work all the time or not, we’ve blocked all holes we had aswell.
usually if you see a mouse there is more than one mouse in your house, they will find a food source so any pet food left down or on the sides will be eaten any bread or even crumbs on the floor will be eaten, they will breed it is nice and warm in a house and there is usually a constant food supple close at hand, they won’t always leave but will come out when you are in bed, if you see mice in your house then i would set traps, it is not just the health risk (they run along and constantly pee and poo) but also they will chew wiring, we had a power cut and when we checked we found a mouse had chewed the wiring and shorted the whole house, luckily they did not cause a fire, we had mice with 3 terriers running looses so if they ain’t scared of dogs who tried to hunt them they are not going to be scared of people, you have done well to block the holes but leave one open and place a trap there, they will take the bait and you should get them, we caught our mice with fresh bread and peanut butter, but you may have to move the trap around as if there is more than one they will smell the death of one and avoid that area, place traps where you know they are running and keep setting them, if you think you have got them all leave the traps down for 3 weeks after you last saw a mouse, we made the mistake of only trapping for two weeks after and then the babies came out and it all started again, best of luck honey, they need to go as they cause so much damage in the walls that you don’t see.

Sugar Glider Chinchilla
should i get a sugar glider or a chinchilla?
i am looking for my next pet my hedgehog died recently and i son’t know whether to get a sugar glider or a chinchilla
Please think seriously about getting an exotic pet like a chin or sugar glider. Gliders live for 8-15 years, and chinchillas live for 10-20. Do you have the financial stability, time, and education to care for either of those animals?
To answer your question;
I have never owned a sugar glider, but I DO want one.  I currently own two female chinchillas, a black velvet and mosaic. They are my loves, thy take so much work every day but are totally worth it. 
Good luck finding a new pet and remember to gain the proper education prior to buying a pet such as a chinchilla or glider.

Pantry Moth Traps
Does anyone know how I can get rid of pantry moths?
I’m using pantry moth traps but they’re not doing any good. It seems the more I kill, the more they continue to multiply.
This is tough, but doable. Something in the pantry has been infected with weevils. You have to go through everything “dry” (flour, cereal, dry pasta, dry pet food, powdered milk, corn starch, crackers, spices, breads) in the pantry and check it all. Cake mixes are especially vunerable. If you find any sign of the little critters, throw the package away. Even if you don’t see signs – if it’s old, throw it out. You need to be hard hearted, because if the problem persists, you’ve missed something and you’ll need to go through it all again. “if in doubt – throw it out”
You don’t say where you live. These weevils can appear in any climate, but they are a lot faster to get started in warm, southern climates. If you live in the south you might want to take preventative measures in the future by keeping some dry things in the freezer, expecially flour and cake mixes, as these seem to attract weevils quicker, and by purchasing only the amounts you can use in a month or so. Sugar does not have this problem.
By the way, this does not mean you are a bad housekeeper. Weevils appear in sealed cake mixes, etc. They don’t come from an outside source.

Zipper All One
How do you wash/dry a cotton jacket with a metal zipper without the ziper ending up all wavy and unwearable?
The zipper stayed the same length but the actual jacket shrunk and scrunched the zipper
so when you wear it its almost like you have lopsided breasts and or fat rolls all the way down your torso
While the item is still wet I stretch the zipper several times. Keep going back to item while it is drying. I do this for jeans that I want to keep from shrinking. .

Wood Bird
How do I clean a bird that has been trapped inside my wood stove so that it will survive?
I had a bird fall down my wood stove pipe and I rescued it but I’m unsure if the bird will make it….the bird was responsive and could see it would follow every move i made…is a young bird, and very scared….does anyone know what else I could have done or could do..?

Bio Spot
Can I give BIO SPOT dog flea treatment to a cat but in a smaller quantity ?
I know that you can give ADVANTAGE flea medication ( for a dog ) to a cat BUT in a smaller dose as the ingredients are the same. I am UNSURE about giving BIO SPOT as it says on the box – not for use on cats – is this a ‘marketing ploy’ maybe ? Thanks for any help !
Even if someone were to say yes to this question, would you really do it without the approval of your vet? It could easily kill your kitty!
Not all flea meds for cats and dogs are equal. Yes, Adavantage is one that can be given to cats in a smaller doasge, as its potency is the same as the cat formula. But the same is not true for Revolution, the potency in the large dog’s formula is stronger than the small dogs formula and the cats formula. And with a brand like K9 Advantix, its ingredients can not be used on cats at all, they are toxic in any amount!
Biospot uses Permytherin as its active ingredient, which is toxic to cats as well as ferrets, and that is why it says on the box not to use it on cats. If you have cats who groom the dogs, as I do, do not use this product on the dogs as well. Please do not use any products unless it is recommended by your vet.

You Pets Anxiety
Looking for a little help on my pets separation anxiety.?
My dogs loves me what can i say, but when i leave he loves me a little to much. Is there any way of training him to relax a bit. Ive done most the basic things such as give a treat before you leave, don’t make it a huge deal…things like that but really anything would help. Thanks!!!

Last week, my mother gave my son Eric a hamster for his 6th birthday. I kind of looked at the thing with disgust, I must say. But as the days went by, that furry little thing won my heart. Now, it is no longer a “thing” for me; now it has a name: Hanky.
Hanky is quite a pal. He gets pretty scared when I vacuum my son’s room. I take him out -in his cage, of course- to the yard. I guess he must enjoy the sun.
I still owed Eric his birthday present. So, I asked that dreaded question “What do you want for your birthday?” I secretly feared: a Wii, an iPod. What do you want, for Pete’s sake! Speak now or forever hold your peace. I was flabbergasted at his response: a toy for good old Hanky.
That made perfect sense. After all, as the old saying goes, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. Well, in this case Hanky. So, I set to getting him a toy. I thought a wheel was the most you could get, when it came to toys for hamsters. Well, I was wrong.

Meal Flour
I have corn meal flour and graham crackers. What can I make?
I wanted to make pie crust with the crackers and my mom wanted to make muffins but I want to know if there’s something we can make with both? Need to use up leftovers.

I have severe anxiety and depression. My anxiety is its worst when i’m around people or public places. I think i need prescription drugs. I just bought some all natural medication but i don’t know if it’ll work. So my question is what is the best most immediate and effective anxiety relief drug out their?
I hate to say it, but there isn’t any immediate cure for depression and anxiety. In your case, it sounds like you might be suffering from social anxiety, which is treated in the same ways as depression and generalized anxiety.

Healthy Treat ?
I’m looking for a healthy treat I could eat every week when I watch Lost.
Normally I buy a 3-pack of pizzas for $10 (for savings), but they are 1200 calories each, and expire in 2 weeks. So basically I gotta eat all 3 in 14 days instead of once a week. And 3600 calories.
Any better idea?
The ONLY thing it can’t be is popcorn!!! I broke my microwave last week from popcorn! (Sorry.)

Water Bottle
How to keep water in bottles from tasting like the bottle?
Every time I see my mom, she brings tap water from her house to give to me, as I like her water better than the tap water here or at the store. She puts it in empty water bottles, obviously, but I can’t store the water too long in there or it tastes like the bottle, which is gross. Does anyone have an idea how I can store the water for a while without it getting that bottle taste?
We usually combat that by keeping the water cold, usually when the water gets warmer it tastes like the bottle.
