anxiety depression?
im not sure if im depressed or is it just anxiety. i have had anxiety attacks before. everytime i think about my girl cheating or wondering why shes not talking to me (just randomly pops in my head and i cant get rid of the thought) i feel like i cant breathe as good and feel the anxiety in my chest (feels kind of cold and like ive lost air) is this anxiety depression…..? and is there anyway to fight this without the use of medication?
Sounds like anxiety and low self-esteem. I would say if you don’t want to use medication one option would be to ask yourself if your fears are valid. If they are well time to move on no reason to cause your self so much stress. If they’re not well maybe seeing a psychologist would be beneficial.

How to convince parents to let me get a bird? (Or a ferret?)?
I want to get a pet bird or ferret but my parents are stubborn about it. I have tried typing up reasons of why I should get it, I’ve tried saving up money and showing them I can buy everything for it, I’ve even tried taking care of other pets so they can see I’m responsible! Any other suggestions? THNX in advance…
Well for starters, how about trying the following:
#1 Cleaning your room and making sure that it STAYS clean and tidy.
#2 Making sure that your homework is done and handed in on time.
#3 Sweep the floors in the living room and kitchen without your parents asking you to.
#4 Wash and/or dry the dishes.
#5 Do not fight and argue with your sisters & brothers.
#6 Eat what you are given and don’t whine or make “yuck” faces when given it.
#7 Don’t talk rudly to adults
#8 Always share with other kids.
#9 Go to bed when you are told to.
#10 Research the pet and breed you want to be 100% certain that it is the right one for you.
# 11 Ask them about getting this new pet in a nice way and don’t beg and whine about it.

I’m thinking about getting a new ferret, but I have never had one and I have a rat will the ferret eat the rat?
I have heard a lot of things that say that ferrets will eat rats and a lot of things that say that they will NOT eat rats. If I get the ferret the ferret and the rat will be well seperated (different cages and different rooms) and NEVER meet eachother if I can help it.
yes it def could. i think they would meet ferrets r crazy they need a lot of time out of the cage and they get into EVERYTHING mine dug a passage way from the living room to one bedroom to another, through the pipline of the heater. they are omnivores & their fav food are rodents and rabbits. i would d def say no. DO NOT GET ONE with a rat in the house

Is it safe to put a chinchilla and degu together?
I have a male chinchilla but wanted to get him a friend and was wondering if it was safe to put a chinchilla and degu together. i have seen it done and read some good and bad comments about it. Was wondering if anybody had any experience or knowledge of this. Thanks
No you can not house a chinchilla and degu together. It will stress the chinchilla out and they both have different diets. If a chinchilla eats degu food it can and will kill it. Their environments are totally different as well. Chinchillas need dust baths 2-3 times a week and at least 2 hours of playtime outside their cage. If the chinchilla and degu get into a fight, the chinchilla will probably kill the degu. They should be caged separately and in pairs.

Why does my sugar level go down when I eat anything with sugar?
When my sugar level gets below 82 I feel week and confused, but if I eat anything with sugar it goes down even more. I cannot seem to find a happy medium.
sugary foods are a quick fix to dropping glucose levels, but must be balanced with protein and fat for it to stay up.

How to build a wooden guinea pig cage?
My pet store cage for my 2 guinea pigs are very small, and I was thinking aboud building a wooden cage as c&c cages look tacky. How would I build one?
A C&C cage is best for your pigs. I would recommend against a wooden cage because for one thing, they will chew on it. Second, not all woods are safe for your pig, cedar and pine can cause respiratory illness in your pig and hurt their digestive tract, others are poisonous. And third, your cage will always be stinky because you’ll never be able to clean it completely because the wood will absorb their pee and it’s smell.

Can I feed my guinea pig rabbit food?
I accidently purchased rabbit blend food, thinking it was guinea pig food. It’s by the same company, ‘Wild Harvest’, and it has the same package design look. I was in a hurry, and grabbed the wrong bag. Do you think it’s okay to feed it to my guinea pig?
It’s not the best thing to feed the guinea pig. If you can’t take it back, try mixing it with guinea pig food. Make sure that your guinea pig gets vitamin C. You should probably be giving it extra anyway because the guinea pig pellets don’t have that much vitamin c in them and it doesn’t last that long.

Everybody wants to live in a clean and safe environment. Comfort and style are next. If we want these for ourselves, then we must know that our pets need this kind of environment, too. For ferrets, having a clean environment is the key to minimizing musky ferret odors and is also a way to avoid unwanted diseases.
How do we do this?
Ferret-proofing your home is one good way of making sure that your ferret is safe to wander in your house. For cages, always consider the note, the bigger, the better. A significantly large cage with at least one litter box, food dish, beddings and water bottles would be nice.

Can I put moth balls in my food pantry(not directly on my food) to help eliminate the moth infestation?
What can I do to eliminate moth from the pantry?
The type of moths in the pantry will sometimes just ignore moth balls. Moth balls will impart an unpleasant taste in may food products-through the box and all. The balls are also poison so you really should keep them away from food.
The best thing I have found are Pantry Pest Traps. These use pheremones and a sticky surface. The moths go into the traps and can not get out. I bought mine at Agway but Home Depot carries them as well and many garden centers.
Other things to do: rid yourself of any obvious infestations. Anything that has little webs or the like in it needs to be sealed in plastic and thrown away.
