Degu Cage Cages
Where can a buy a degu cage?
anyone know where i can buy a degu cage (perferably online or in to Toronto area) and for a decent price?
We made ours out of hardware cloth (wire mesh) and 1×4′s. They chewed the heck out of the wood but the mesh withstood whatever they tried. . . . → Read More: Degu Cage Cages

Furminator Deshedding
Will the FURminator deShedding Tool fix my problem?
I just purchased the FURminator deShedding Tool for cats because one of my short-haired likes to sleep on my bed all the time and leaves behind a ton of cat hair on my sheets. I know if I’m obviously going to have at least some cat hair on my bed, but will this help my problem out at all? I read reviews on it and most reviews were good, only real negatives were the price but many people also said it was well-worth the money.
I have one and I’m very pleased with it. I don’t get the huge sackloads of loose hair that they show in the advertising, but it pulls up an awful lot. Yes, it’s expensive, but I think it’s worth it.

Ovo Suite

Is there anything I should know before buying the Habitrail Ovo Suite?
I am thinking of buying a Habitrail Ovo Suite for a hamster and I want to know what I should know about it that would let my hamster not escape and how to make it fun for my hamster! PS- I also want to know saftey issues!
From what I have heard the Ovo Suite is not good for Hamsters, Gerbils or any rodents. Since it is all plastic they can chew right through it. I would either get a tank or a metal cage.
Here are a few that are strong and sturdy. (Might have to copy and paste).

Rabbit Toys

Rabbit Toys?
I give my rabbit lots of time to run around each day, but while she’s in her cage, she looks bored. Are there any toys I can give her to keep her occupied? How can I make them, or where can I buy them?
My rabbits love toys! I make some of my own, but sometimes I buy stuff from stores and occasionally online. What I’ve found is that most of the rabbit toys in pet stores are really boring. The fruit twig chew sticks are yummy but they’re best if they are on hanging toys- I make my own with untreated sisal string, a bell, and a bunch of different chew toys. Some parrot toys are fun, and so are plastic cat toys with bells in them and plastic baby keys.

Can I house rabbits, Guinea Pigs and finches together?
I have an unused pergola area that I’d like to make in to a walk-in aviary also suitable for my 2 rabbits and 1 guinea pig. Should I raise the floor so the droppings fall through or would the droppings degrade fast enough just to bury the wire under the ground?
Yes! Of Course You Can put rabbit with all your other small pets in the Hutches & Enclosures!! For More Details Please Visit Page: http://www.agritura.com/index.php/cat/c22_Rabbit-Farming.html/category/Rabbit-Farming

Custom Indoor

How much should a custom designed, indoor, 32 square feet wall mural cost?
the mural is a historic cityscape requiring research and design based on old pictures and people’s recollections of the era
You’d need to check out the websites of muralists. It’s so variable. I would say that the painter should not have to spend too much time doing historical research, and that perhaps the client could supply information. It may cost many thousands of £ or $ depending. It’s impossible to say how long the project would take, how much the basic design would take to work out, prep work, distance from the client’s property, and how much an individual artist needs per hour to live, and what the client’s budget is.

Cats Usa Epa

Surprisingly or not surprisingly, textile selection is extremely important when selecting a fabric for your pet bed as there are many factors to consider. Dogs and Cats alike aren’t overly vigilant in washing their paws, tummies or backsides when jumping onto their bed, therefore we have to consider several factors when selecting the right bed for them.
Stain Resistance : dogs and cats are somewhat messy animals as they don’t wash their paws when jumping into bed, they don’t wipe their faces after meals and when they pick (selectively pick, that is) trash from the garbage, they don’t always pick the cleanest to devour on their bed… which should really make you consider a pet bed that has stain resistance properties such as Crypton.
Moisture Resistance : again, dogs and cats sometimes have accidents, unfortunately not always intentional. Moisture has the potential to pose as a problem, but not for the super fabric, commonly known as Crypton.

My sisters gerbils love sunflower seeds also, their favorite part is actually cracking them open, lol. But, although this wasn’t mentioned, my rabbit LOVES banana, they’re a good treat. Alot of different variates of fruit are good, but only as a treat, we don’t want them too hyper, do we?

What should I get a rat, mouse, hamster or gerbil? I want something intelligent that I can train.?
I am looking for a pet rodent. A rat, mouse, hamster or gerbil. I would like to know which is the easiest to care for, less likely to bite, and be able to take out for an our a day. I want the most intelligent one that I can train!
GET RATS! they are smart, cute, nice, and they dont stink! you will need to get 2 of the same sex, it is accually esier to care for 2 than 1 when it comes to rats.

Degu Cage

What kind of material can you build a degu cage out of?
I am planning on purchasing degus in the near future and would like to build a relatively large cage for it. I have read that degus will chew through almost anything that’s not glass or metal. Would it work to build a cage out of plexiglass instead?
As a long time rescuer of Degus, let me tell you that unless you are living in a particularly hot climate an aquarium is the absolute best cage for a degu. If you get a wire cage be prepared to have the bedding kicked everywhere (even if you use those guards around the outside) AND they will likely chew the bars like gerbils do . The love to tunnel (again like gerbils) so the aquarium really lets them do so. We get large cardboard tubes and cut them up, burying them randomly in the shavings. They love them . Yes, building an aquarium-like cage from plexiglass will work just as well.

Pets like their toys, and Guinea Pigs are no exception. However, they do get bored easily if they only have the same toys to play with over and over again, so it’s nice to give them a lot of variety.
There are some toys made just for Guinea Pigs, such as Bounce Back toys (you place a treat inside the toy and the cavy knocks it down to get to the treat, then it bounces right back up again). At only $6 or so, it’s an affordable purchase and most guinea pigs seem to like it.
Besides toys made just for guinea pigs, you’ll also find that many items designed for rabbits and ferrets can be enjoyed by your pet as well. Some guinea pigs also enjoy playing with cat and bird toys, but you must be cautious when using these items since they can be easily broken and swallowed by your pet.
Of course, you don’t have to go out to your local pet stores in order to gather toys for your guinea pig. Many items that you have lying around your house would also be perfect. Let me give you some examples:

Chinchilla Natural

In order for your chinchilla to be in the pink of health, it requires dust bath as the dust will ensure that it is germ free. Housebound chinchilla does not have the volcanic ash of the Andes to refresh themselves; therefore a regular dust bath is indispensable. Chinchilla is capable of keeping their fur spick and span because of the dust that causes the oil and dirt to be released.
Devoid of a regular dust bath, chinchillas will feel traumatic and give rise to various health concerns in addition to other behavioral matter. Dust bath is essential in a warm day to keep the fur fresh as the fur will be greasy and matted as a result of the heat and if you do not provide the dust bath, it can cause overheating. During the cooler season, it is not necessary to dust bath every day, maybe twice a week.
When the chinchilla has been playing all day, a day bath is needed to thwart the fur from being matted and greasy. If you are a smoker, abstain from smoking near the chinchilla as the tar will contaminate the fur. The tar give off a strange smell and the chinchilla is able to swallow it when they lick their fur; as a result a wet bath has to be given to the chinchilla.

Anemia can be caused by excessive loss of red blood cells or by inadequate production.
Nutritional iron-deficiency anemia, common in people, is uncommon in dogs with today’s commercially balanced dog foods. Chronic iron deficiency, as described by the “Dog Owner’s Home Veterinary Handbook,” is a clear indication that an insidious loss of blood is taking place.
Blood loss is a condition that is commonly caused by wounds or parasites such as worms and fleas. Symptoms of anemia in dogs include white or pale gums, weakness, and a fast pulse. Sometimes this condition indicates a more serious illness such as toxicity that results from a drug exposure. However, the more simple and common cause of anemia which is blood loss can be easily treated with a view toward promoting the growth of new red blood cells.
You need to give your dog a special diet rich in iron, protein, and vitamin B12. The following lists of foods and supplements are especially helpful and provide the necessary nutrients that your dog needs to treat anemia.

According to one survey, the two most common places that children love to visit in a mall are the toy store and the pet store. This is because the products in these establishments always catch the attention and fascination of the minors, which usually ends up with the parents going in and buying something.
If you want to get these items as a surprise, there is another venue. There are some retailers who sell exotic animals online. You can check from the list of available creatures then have them delivered to your doorstep.
These online stores are based all over the United States. Once a selection has been made, it will be shipped via airfreight. Some of the animals carried are Wallabies, Hedgehogs, Snakes, Spiders, Amphibians, Birds and Gliders.

Pet Chinchilla

I want a pet Chinchilla but can I get hands on training before I buy it?
I feel real excited about owning a chinchilla but I need to know the reality in owning one. Is it okay to go to pet stores several times to ask questions and learn to handle them and learn a little bit on caring for them before I decide to buy one?
I wouldn’t bother with a oet store as more often than not they don’t know much about Chinchillas. As a proud owner of a Wilson White chin called Cham Cham (not me, the breeder) I will say this, they live FOREVER. It’s best to contact ofther chin owners near you, or better yet go to the breeder you’re getting the chin from and ask them for some help.

Guinea Pigs
Guinea pigs?
I have 2 male 10mth old guinea pigs. I think they are hormonal because of the 2 female guinea’s. I do not want to breed them and they are kept seperated but i’ve been bitten by one of them 3 times and also the males which we have bought and have been together have started fighting. Can they be castrated. I feel sorry for them!
Guinea pig nuts really aren’t worth getting the wok out for.
